FASHION - SAY "I LOOK FABULOUS TODAY"

Clothing has evolved from a practical need for protection to a tool for self-expression. Today’s choices are dictated by our daily activities and our personal objectives. Whether running a marathon or presenting an idea in a business meeting, what we wear can be a factor in achieving our goals.

 

First impressions can be important to us (think job interview) and often others make decisions about us within seconds of an encounter. The combination of colour, body type styling and fit, all play into the psychology of personal style and confidence. Whether choosing a minimal capsule wardrobe or filling a dressing room, today’s decisions about the clothes we purchase must be increasingly thoughtful with respect to fabric, ethical production and sustainability.

 

Whether you find fashion a chore or a passion, I would like to remind you to say “I’m fabulous!” as you do your mirror check before leaving home each day.

HAVE YOU CONNECTED WITH NATURE TODAY?

A powerful way to improve our daily well-being is right outside our door. Research confirming reduced stress and anxiety, enhanced mood and creativity, as well as other measurable physical benefits, is easy to find. 

 

Here are a few suggestions you can consider to foster your connection with nature:

  • walk barefoot in the grass (shown to improve sleep!)
  • take a walk in your neighborhood greenspace – notice the veining on a single leaf or the intricate design in the center of a flower
  • hug a tree and assess how you feel

If getting outside isn’t an option today, try using your powerful ability to visualize. If we close our eyes and imagine being in an old growth forest, we can almost immediately smell it’s unique earthy scent … enjoy!

In today’s complex world, the saying or writing of all things positive in our lives can have an immediate and beneficial impact on our well-being.
